Road Safety initiative
Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Mugappair organized a special visit to the Children’s Road Safety and Traffic Park in Chennai, exclusively for the students of Junior Red Cross as an initiative to promote an awareness among the students about Road Safety. The field trip coincided with the park’s 5th year anniversary, graced by Ms. R. Vijayalakshmi, Superintending Engineer (Parks, Playfields, and CRRT) from the Greater Chennai Corporation. She underscored the importance of road safety and instilled a sense of responsibility among the young students. The students were engaged in a myriad of games and activities related to road safety, where they had the opportunity to apply their learning in a practical and immersive manner. As a token of appreciation for their participation, certificates and prizes were awarded to the students, acknowledging their commitment to promoting road safety.
