COVID-19 Awareness 

 

Indian Community Welfare Organisation (ICWO) and Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) organized a "COVID-19 Awareness Campaign through Boom Boom OX" at Anna Nagar Tower Park Entrance Arch,. The Chief Guest Senthil Kumar, Zonal Officer, Zone-8, Greater Chennai Corporation inaugurated by flagging off the Campaign “COVID-19 Awareness Campaign through Boom Boom OX” by releasing the Posters. Sundarajan, Executive Engineer, Zone-8, Greater Chennai Corporation received the first copy of the poster and Gopi, Sub Inspector and Velmurgan, Sub Inspector, Anna Nagar K4 Police Station escorting the campaign. Speaking on the occasion Hariharan, Secretary, ICWO told “This programme has dual benefits: First in educating public on COVID-19 awareness and to protect themselves to stay safe. Secondly in uplifting the OX men and their families who are going through difficult situation due to COVID-19 lockdown. He requested the philanthropist to extend their humble support to rebuild the life of OX men and their family members in Chennai”. During this campaign 6000 general public were reached with the preventive information on COVID-19, 5000 masks, 1000 packs of Kadasura Kudineer, 500 Hand Sanitizers and 2000 Leaflets distributed to the general public at Zone-8. The campaign covered the following areas of K.V.N. Puram, T.P.Chatram, V.O.C. Nagar, R.V.Nagar, Annai Sathya Nagar, Ambethkar Nagar Housing Board, Gandhi Nagar Housing Board, Bharathi Nagar, Koyya Thoppu and Nathamuni and completion of Campaign at Padi Flyover.
